Meet Board Member Harry Sauberman

Retired from the FDA, Center for Devices and Radiological Health,  Mr. Sauberman was Chief of the Quality Control Evaluation Section, Diagnostic X-Ray Devices, in the Office of Compliance (OC), and, was Chief of the Otolaryngology (ENT) Devices Branch in the Office of Device Evaluation (ODE).  Mr. Sauberman was Chair of the Washington Section,  Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ( IEEE).  He is currently a director of the IEEE Northern Virginia Section.  Within the Section, he is the chair of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences (NPS) Chapter.  He is also a director of the DC Council of Engineering and Architectural Societies (DCCEAS).  He served on the board of the Jewish Charities of America (JCA) and is currently a member of the board of People With Disabilities Foundation (PWDF).  He is a member of the board of the Gin Dance Company.   He served as  Patron Chair for the IEEE 2016 Globecom (GC) Communications Conference in Washington, D.C., and was Patron co-Chair for the 2019 GC Communications Conference in Hawaii.  He is president of Phase XV in Sea Colony, a beach community in Bethany Beach, DE.  He is a licensed Professional Engineer and licensed Realtor with degrees from New York University (B.A., B.E.E., M.E.E.) and an engineering administration degree from George Washington University (M.E.A.).
