7-8-9 Fundraising Drive is Here! We need your help raising $7,000 by 8/9… Thus, 7-8-9!We all recognize the huge value arts and culture play in our society and how they contribute to the quality of our lives. Since the COVID 19 shutdowns were implemented, we immediately moved our rehearsals online via Zoom (the very next day after the shutdown). We were dedicated to ensuring that the arts remain part of our and lives and conquered the challenges of rehearsing virtually and created our brand new work “Aspire.”
We are committed to being ready with high quality works of dance when things return back to ‘normal’. Due to the ongoing shutdown, several of our upcoming performances have been canceled as performance venues remain closed. This is impacting our funding… At GDC, we pour our heart and soul into every production we create to impact, inspire, and brighten lives. We have a tremendous passion and love for what we do, but we need your support to help us to keep moving forward and keep arts alive.
Before the COVID-19 shutdown, during our 2019 – 2020 season we completed some wonderful performances including our wonderful production ‘Unveil’ at the Atlas INTERSECTIONS Festival. We were thrilled to tour to New York City for the DUMBO Dance Festival at the Gelsey Kirkland Arts Center. We also had the pleasure of bringing our Eastern and Western influential work ‘We, The Moon, The Sun’ to the Reston Multicultural Festival and a special Benefits Concert to help support Hurricane Relief for the Bahamas through our Outreach Performance program.
Just as even the darkest night gives way to the eventual sunrise, we will make it through this difficult time. At Gin Dance Company, our mission of Enriching Lives Through Dance has never seemed more meaningful. We have a tremendous passion and love for what we do, but we need your support to help us to keep our artists working and creating to bring excellence in performing arts to the community and keep arts alive.
